Layers problem

Hi, 

I wonder if someone can help me here. 
I have no idea what i have done different today but perviously if iI were to click on any line or object in my drawing, the layer pulldown would show me what layer that line or object is on. Now its not doing that for me and I dont know why.. 

For example, if I was drawing on a layer called "concrete" it would have the concrete layer showing in the pulldown menu. However if i was to click on a line drawn on the defpoints layer, the pulldown menu would say "defpoints"


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use command: PICKFIRST, enter then change to 1.
