For those familiar with the micro and helv AutoCad fonts, what are the keystrokes for inserting a 2 above and to the right of a letter to denote 'squared', as in square metres?

Alt+0178

Press & hold the Alt Key then press 0,1,7,8 on
the numeric keypad then release the Alt key.

cubed ³ (Alt+0179)

plus/minus ± (Alt+0177)

degrees ° (Alt+0176)

diameter ø (Alt+0248)

copyright © (Alt+0169)

registered ® (Alt+0174)

quarter ¼ (Alt+0188)

half ½ (Alt+0189)

three quarter ¾ (Alt+0190)

these may or maynot work with all
fonts

Pherridge,

You may also try the following:

Diameter = % % C or % % 129 or % % 174

Degrees = % % D or % % 127 or % % 160

Overscore = % % O

Plus/Minus = % % P or % % 128 or % % 153

Underline = % % U

Centerline = % % 130

Property Line (PL) = % % 131

Copyright = % % 147

Triangle = % % 148

Angle = % % 158

Square Foot = % % 159

Flood Line? (FL) = % % 161

Greater and Equal = % % 162

Less and Equal = % % 166

No spaces between characters...

(I added spaces just in case HTML evaluates as an expression...)

As with Craig, the fonts you use may not support some or all of these extended characters...

Additional extended characters can be found in any programmers Appendecies

as "ASCII" characters...

Some fonts do not support the ALT+xxx keyins, so I find a convenient way to get the 'squared' symbol for example is to enter the character, followed by the ^ symbol and then stack the imaginary fraction. ie 10x102^ will give 10x10 and the squared symbol.
