Is anyone using a Calcomp drawing Board 3 digitizer with AutoCAD 2005. I
have downloaded the latest driver from calcomp but it does not work when I
initialize the tablet command. But it does work as a mouse.

That was your first mistake. :-)

Calcomp got sued last year from the guy who wrote the wintab specification -
particularly the mapping ability of the driver. Calcomp had to drop the
mapping from the driver which pretty much makes the tablet useless in Acad.
With the latest version 10 of the driver, they tried to put some basic
mapping back in it, but it doesn't work as I understand from other users.

The last good version of Tabletworks was 7.46 (which works even with some
tolerable issues in Win XP SP2 without Calcomp's SP2 fix).
