AutoCAD Locks while Starting

When starting AutoCAD, it will lock up while loading the acad.dwt.
I've tried re-installing this, and it still locks up. This started after
mapping my F1 key to CANCEL.

Any ideas ??

CTRL+ALT+Delete and kill the process called WSCommCntr1.exe.

I know this is old, but I just wanted to bump this up as it worked for me in autoCAD 2008. I was having a hell of a time trying to get acad to open and it kept freezing around 152MB ram used, closed WSCommCntr and voila!!!
