Are these shx's still available and compatible with 2006. Where can they be obtained?

n.g.: Couple of concepts you might wish to consider becoming more familiar with:

1. Internet search engines.

2. Download sites for free or low-cost Autodesk compatible files.

It's easier to pop on a site like this and ask; someone will alway be willing to help out. But then, you've denied yourself the opportunity to learn something new.....

BTW: You can download a really good revision of Archstyl at CADDEPOT.COM. How do I know it's good? I am the revisions author.

F.Y.I. ARCH.SHX is a renamed version of a font named AU150S00.shx. It is old, decimally coded, and you may experience some problems getting it to work properly in
versions 05 and 06.

Try Archquick, it is very similar to Archstyl and it is recognized up to AutoCAD 2009.
