Acad 2004 on Windows I machine

Land Desktop and Survey 2004 both said that they successfully installed on my laptop running Windows 8.1. When I try to run Land, it says, "The program can't start because ac1st16.dll is missing from your computer. I tried running repair and full reinstallation and the same thing. What to do?

I ran scannow and althought it said it didn't find any problems, it's working now.

i using acad 2004 lt in win 8.1

first time use, i have same problem.

my solution

- right click acad 2004 shortcut>properties

- click compability tab

- in compability mode, run this program in compability mode for: windows xp (service pack 2)
