White color objects in paper space

Am using AutoCAD 2002. I have a drawing in Model space that have objects
drawn with color by layers (there are many colors used) In Tilemode 0 (paper
space) all my object colors shows up as "White".
If I create a new Layout2 and copy past what was in the previous layout
(viewports etc.) to this new one, all the colors shows up find. Is there a
variable setting that is causing everything on the 1st layout to show up
"white"

Wblock block seems to work and creating a new
layout seems to solve the problem also. I was just wondering was there a setting
or variable that was causing this to happen. This happen on 3 drawing files
that was originally done on R14. (don't know if that have something to do with
it). The color of the objects did not actually changed even when they show up as
"white" in paper space. (If I were to List it, it still list it's original
color)

Check your Plot style Pen Table in the plotter setup it may be set to
monochrome. Reset your plotstyle table then view your layout

Plot style is fine, plot using my own ctb files. The line weight actually
plot correctly, base on the actual color view in tilemode 1, not the all
white color view in PS.

Hi, I've been having the same problem, and it has been driving me crazy. Looking for an answer to my problem is what led me to you, during a search. I was glad to see I was not alone. After reading responses from Larry and Ron I new I was looking for the solution in the right place. I had a gut feeling it was in page setup. So after flipping through plot styles and different tabs. I noticed this little box to the right of the plot style table selection box, beyond the Edit and New tiles. This little box was labeled Display plot styles. On all the layouts that were displaying in black and white this little box was checked. So I took the plunge and unchecked it. Amazing, I landed back into the wonderful world of color. I only hope this is your problem too, then its an easy fix. Good Luck.

I had this exact thing happen in our office recently when we switched to 2002. I found that during page setup, under "plot device tab", the "DISPLAY PLOT STYLE" box was checked. Uncheck it and all will be correct. If you go to plot a second file and use "previous plot", the same box will get checked in the second file and so on. Hope this is helpful.
