Undo in 2002 - hate it!

Why did they add the zooms/scrolls/pans to the undo list?
Is there anyway to turn this very annoying new feature off?

IM NOT POSITIVE BUT I THINK IF YOU GET INTO THE HELP AND LOOK UP THESE OPTIONS THAT ARE A PART OF THE UNDO COMMAND YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO FIND SOMETHING

Not a new feature in 2002, so it must be controlled by a setting.
