Underlining Mtext

When editing or creating mtext, I can not underline just the first line of text. In the mtext window it looks right, but once I hit ok all of the text becomes underlined.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Trevor

What I have found is that when I edit text and select the AMGDT options for
a c'bore or depth symbol and exit the box, my whole text becomes underlined
and I did not select that at all.
Any suggestions?

Service Pack 2 for AutoCAD 200 supposedly corrects this.

I have SP2 Installed.  Unless
when I did a reinstall to correct files (not an uninstall), it may have deleted
or changed some of the files from the service pack.  Does anyone know
whether when you do a reinstall, do you have to also reinstall all of the
service packs and plotter upgrades as well?

Thanks

Yes, you have to re-install the service packs.

I believe the upgrade to 2000i fixes this...

Not sure on the reinstall without, as I always have repatched and reupdated
with any reinstall.

Example from the paper:

face=Arial size=2>

  1. You want the text to look like
    this:

    This is underlined
    text.

    But it
    looks like this:

    This is underlined
    text
    .

  • In the text editor, the text is displayed as:

    face=Courier>This is {\Lunderlined text.}

    Change the text
    to:

    This is {\Lunderlined} text.

  • The internal editor does not handle ALL of the
codes available to the MTEXT entity as listed in the User Guide.  External
editors such as NOTEPAD will let you look at and enter all of the required code
where you want it and NOT change the code, as the internal editor does, that was
    previously assigned to it.
