Status bar problems

Has anyone ever figured out how to manipulate the status bar at the bottom
of AutoCAD? I have read all the posts pertaining to it, but no ever has a
legitimate answer on what to do when there is a problem. The first question
is how do you turn the status bar on and off?

Second...please take a look at the post in Customer Files with the same
title. You won't believe it. That is an actual screen shot of AutoCAD
Mechanical. The status bar is displaying the OSNAPs on the left and has
forced everything else to the right. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

AutoCAD does not currently support any methods for disabling the status bar.

OK. That didn't work. Here's more about what's happening.

After opening AutoCAD the status bar appears normal. Then start the line
command and all the Osnaps automatically pop into the status bar.

Thanks

Keith
