Some Hidden lines showing through after HIDE command.

I am using 2002 and when I invoke the HIDE command some lines that are
supposed to be hidden still show through. Different lines show through if I
change my viewpoint but always a few random lines. If I zoom in closer and
HIDE it looks OK. It seems to happen when I am zoomed farther out and
showing my whole 3D model. Model is made up of solids. Lines show up on
paper when printing the viewport with hidden lines removed also.
Any ideas?
Jeff

Jeff,
Have you tried setting hideprecision to 1?

Joel,
Thanks for the tip, I wasn't aware of that sysvar. It did help a little
bit. I also made sure that the viewport was set to 2D Wireframe and I
changed my projection from Parallel to Perspective. It looks better but a
couple of lines are still showing through.
Thanks again,
Jeff

FYI to anyone who is interested in this problem or has run into it before:
After playing around with this drawing, I've found that ACAD seems to have
trouble hiding lines when there are many "visually" bunched together. I
found that if I Orbit the view to reduce the number of overlapping lines,
zoom in as close as possible, even change from parallel to perespective
projection, it all helps the hide command do it's job a little better.

I get these hide errors pretty regularly in a large drawing (4 or 5
meg). Even on objects that are several feet apart from each other.
Never found the solution or cause. It has caused and some errors in
the shop.

Just have to mis-trust the program and scrutinize every print out in
intimate detail.
