Is there a list (downloadable) of "setenv" commands describing what they set.
I've searched the AutoCAD help files with no success.

I think you mean SETVAR, variables settings in AutoCAD, accessed
by typing at the command line the following:
SETVAR
?
*

Then all you go is cut and paste and see what your default
settings are at.
Or you could go through the Variables list in HELP, and write
down the factory default settings.

SETENV environment settings are not accessible through any
listing method, or listed by Autodesk anywhere, I do not
think.... .

I don't know if this is what you're after?

This is two example:

(setenv "Toolbars\\ACAD.TB_SOLIDS" "show float 200 300 3")
(setenv "ACCOV:TMPMNU" "1")

Dig into the registry and you'll find more examples of what to do.

If you have Express Tools then go to Express > Tools > System Variable
Editor.
This hasn't been updated for 2000i or 2002 but it is still very handy. You
can view a description of the variable and change the setting from there.

Yes. That is what I meant. In R14 there were a couple of examples in help, but
search as I might I couldn't find a complete listing. The examples I found, BTW,
were not the ones you mentioned.

The reason I posted is that in 2002, my screen menu is about 12 characters wide
which uses an lot of screen real estate, and I would like to set it to the
original 8. In R12 there was an "undocumented" sysvar that would change the
screen menu width, which I have since lost. I assumed that it would have
migrated to setenv settings (which are stored in the registry, rather than the
cfg or dwg file) as in R14.

As for editing the registry, I looked, but that is a labyrinth, and a dangerous
one to go poking around in. At least for me.

Thanks for the reply.

Doug

I don't know it it's possible to change the screen menu as you wanted. I
leave this question open for someone else.
