Polar snap not displaying text

To all

A rather annoying and I am hoping simple problem. I have several machines
running windows 2000 and AutoCAD 2002.

On all the machines but one when polar and otrack are on and a line is
placed the polar numbers appear in a little yellow box on the screen. One
the one machine, the dashed line appears showing the polar is working but
the little yellow box showing the angle and distance doesn't. Any idea what
the switch is (if there is one) to turn that on?
