PDF file name with Model (1) added

Hello
When I create a PDF file from AutoCAD 2002 using Acrobat distiller I get "Model (1)" at the end of each PDF filename.
Is there a way (other than manual renaming) to remove "Model (1)" and just get the same file name as the DWG file?
Thank you

No, it's a feature of AutoCAD writing to file you don't have access to.

Not sure if this will help, but a by product of having a file name like
DRAWING.1.DWG (in our case the dot 1 is a the revision level of the
drawing) will remove that -Model or the -Layout name from the PDF file
created... (at least it does with AutoCAD 2002 and Adobe Acrobat 5.? We
typically only have 1 layout per drawing (at least in my discipline) as
per our standards.

I am sure someone in the Customization discussion group could utilize
the -PLOT command and DWGNAME to come up with either a script or lisp
routine... while they are at it can you have them create a PP routine
(for plot previous)?
