Object Snap (Unknown Command)

I was using my object snap keys to create a doorway,
and the all of the sudden got and unknown
command error when trying to use them again.
Specifically I was using the endpoint snap
command. So now I can't access an of the object
snap command, they are all unknown commands?
Any advice, did I dis-able them? Any ideas on how to
fix the problem would be greatly appericated.
I am use Acad 2002 student version.
thanks, monica

You need to be in a command like LINE or MOVE or COPY or SCALE, etc to use
the osnaps 😉

There is a button on the bottom of the screen which will toggle the
running OSNAP settings on and off.

But, aside from those normal features, there are occasional times
that AutoCAD will just flake out and you will loose your snaps. When
this has happened to me, it is only for a few objects, and not the
entire drawing.

When this happens, rebooting will sometimes get the osnaps working
for me. Sometimes I can just recreate the object and snap to the new
object. When I create ACIS Solids from polylines, I try to leave the
original polyline in place so that can be an additional target for
AutoCAD to snap to if it starts having problems with the ACIS solids.
