monochrome tif file

When in layout view, how can I create a tif file with all entities monochrome without having to go back to model, select all entities, change to black, then go to layout, select all entities and change to black? In r14 I would go to preferences, toggle monochrome and be done. Thanks in advance.

How are you creating your TIFs? Using the included raster plotters, my TIFs are
monochrome by default if I choose the (CCITT G4 2D Compression) plotter and if I
choose (Uncompressed), I have the option to select "monochrome" and "2 shades of
gray" in the vector graphics properties.

Alternately, assuming you use color dependent plotting, you can use the
monochrome.ctb style or you can roll your own plot style with your own widths
and all colors set to black which you can use with any plotter.

Creating tif by saveimg at command promt. I see the monochrome.ctb you are talking about but don't see a tif option.

I'd forgotten about saveimg. If you run the add-a-plotter wizard, you can add a
tif plotter by selecting "raster formats" for the device type. Once it's set up
you plot as if it was a physical plotter.
