Memory Allocation erron on Plot

I am running ACAD2000 on XP pro on a new DELL laptop. First time I tried to print something using the system printer it came up with "Memory Allocation error" and froze up. I had to use the TASK MANAGER to shut down ACAD2000. Reinstalling and reboots made no difference. Tried to use the add a plotter wizard and can only get as far as selecting the system printer name. I get a dialogue box that says the system printer name is too long (>31 characters), but I had no such issue running ACAD2000 on my old box using Windows 2K. Any ideas what is wrong?

You forgot the plotupdate patch for R2000. You also need to be logged in as admin to use R2000 in WinXP. -- Dean Saadallah Add-on products for LT http://www.pendean.com/lt --

Thanks very much Dean! The suggested patch took care of the problem immediately. Not so much as "forgettin" as never having experienced the problem before!

best regards
