How turn off active assistant!!!

How in the world do you turn off the active assistant
in Acad 2002?!

You should have a little icon in the task bar (bottom right of the screen). Right click it, and you can exit it from there. Better still, in settings, you can untick 'show on start' and you'll never see it again. Unless you turn it back on using the help menu....

Quoting the Active Assistance's "Using Active Assistance"

To turn off Active Assistance
right-click on the Assist icon located in your System tray and choose
Exit. The System tray is located in the lower-right corner of the
Windows task bar.

Dumb question here..... but how do you turn the active
assistant "on"?
