can someone tell me how to create a flat cirular ramp? I have tried using the spiral.lsp to create the helix, then extruded a flat section along the path. the resultant shape twists as it rises. is there an easy way around this dilema?

Yes, Mechanical Desktop or Inventor. Spiral.lsp in ACAD will only work for circular cross section.
