Drawing size is different when converting from 3d to 2d

When I go from 3D to 2D, I use the "view" toolbar to switch to top, right, etc. Every time that I do this the size of my drawings seem to come out as a different size. Are they scaling the drawings or do I need to do that? Why are they different sizes.

Thanks

Not sure what you mean by "go from 3D to 2D". In ACAD there is only 3D, you can choose to ignore the thrid dim, but it's still there.

There are dozens of things that can affect files sizes, among them are new elements, different zoom scale, different clip depths, new saved views, layers, layer filters, etc.

Post an example.

Zoom>Extents for the angle you are shooting for is triggered with that tool. Explore ORBIT or actually use VIEW command. -- Dean Saadallah Add-on products for LT http://www.pendean.com/lt --

Also explore setting UCSFOLLOW to zero, not 1, see if that helps. -- Dean Saadallah Add-on products for LT http://www.pendean.com/lt --
