default plot area to extents

can someone please tell me how to change the plot area to default to extents instead of window in autocad 2000.

Create a page setup that uses Extents for the plot area in your dwt file. Save the dwt file with that page setup current.

Or use PAGESETUP command in your current drawing file and set
it up to default to EXTENTS instead of Window.
