I have a user that started having problems printing yesterday. Whenever he tried to print from AutoCAD it crashes out with the following error:
FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0014 Exception at xxxxxxxx
I am currently searching around for answers and I have asked him if he can:
Print from another application
Can AutoCAD print to another print
There have been no updates yesterday either to the printer driver or XP, so I don't believe it's a software change there.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Is the problem one file, or all files in AutoCAD, even if they start a new one?
Can they plot to anything else from AutoCAD?
So this worked before yesterday? Something indeed did change or removed, find out more.
It is on all AutoCAD files, even new ones.
The user does not have access to any other printers, just this one.
The dates work out as:
8th - working
9th - broken
10th - working, with one crash when trying to print
11th - seems to be working ok so far
It seems strange that it died for a whole day, even after reboots! Other people in the office were printing fine.
Not sure what else I can give you, I've never worked with AutoCAD before and the user is less than forth coming. I'm passing on the questions as you ask them.
Haha, could be! Well he said yesterday there wasn't a problem all day, though he didn't do much printing. So we'll see how it goes I guess! Thanks for you're input though.
