Convert True Type Fonts to vector outlines

I want to be able to convert fonts to vectors. Graphic packages call this Fonts to Curves.

The end result is back in AutoCAD.
Can it be done with True Type and or Postscript fonts?

Any Help is appreciated.

If the text can be brought into AutoCAD, use the Express Tool to explode
text, or do a WMFOUT of the text, followed by a WMFIN of the file
created. Re-scale it if necessary and then explode it. You will have a
series of lines which you can join into polylines.

Select EXPRESS on Menu bar, then TEXT-EXPLODE TEXT, select the text you want to explode.

That's it.
