Using autocad 2000i and trying to delete faces on a simple cube. I get the error "Modeling Operation Error:
Gap cannot be filled."

What is the problem. This should be a simple operation.
Can anyone help with this issue?

Thank you

Command: _solidedit
Solids editing automatic checking: SOLIDCHECK=1
Enter a solids editing option [Face/Edge/Body/Undo/eXit] : _face
Enter a face editing option

Select faces or [Undo/Remove]: 1 face found.

Select faces or [Undo/Remove/ALL]:

When you delete a face, the solid modeling software must be able to extend
or fill in the adjacent faces to make a complete, closed solid afterwards.
For example, you can delete a through hole by deleting the inside
cylindrical face, or delete a fillet by deleting all the curved faces so the
adjacent flat faces join together.

But if you try to delete a face from a cube, what are you expecting to get?
If you couldn't do it on a real piece of material, the software certainly
won't be able to.
