can excel help?

I have a problem in which I need to number about 300 drawing files on a
titleblock as sheet x of 300. The problem is that the number of sheets will
most likely change numerous times, and I can't afford to manualy update this
numbering every time that it does. Someone told me that they thought there
was a way to link an excel file to do this. Can anyone explain this process
or suggest a better idea?

Thanks,
Sam

You may be able to paste portion of your spreadsheet using Edit/Paste,
and that can update upon drawing open. If that doesn't work take a
look at http://www.dotsoft.com/livetext.htm.

This sounds like it is a document management issue. You can have this work
seamlessly if it is programmed and set up to do so. A small system can be
set up (programmed) that will autonumber the titleblocks when needed.

If you need any help, you can contact me via phone or e-mail.

Good Luck!
