autocad 2002-viewing dimensions in isometric view

When I try to measure the side of a 3d object in isometric view, I can't see the final measurement. I know it is simply a system variable, I just can't figure out which one.
Thank u

Most likely the dimension/text style you are using is set up for display in
plan view. You will need to create a dimension/text style that is
orientated for your isometric view.

I've had this problem before. It is not only with dimension lines, I also cannot draw a simple line parallel to my object in isometric view.
