acad.pat

When I enter bhatch in the command line I keep getting the following message.

c:\program files\autocad 2000i\support\acad.pat Can't open file

This is followed by
Unable to open file: acad.pat, error = 1

Then
No standard pattern available
Error in reading the pattern file.

I've looked up the acad.pat file and it is there. Any suggestions.

Missing or corrupt ACAD.LIN file ... just like the error says. Be sure
ACAD.LIN is in the path defined for your installation.

Duh ... that's ACAD.PAT, of course, not ACAD.LIN.

As you have just noticed, nobody helped you with your problem. I had the same thing happen to me a few minutes ago and had to figure out a solution myself. you need to do the following: open AutoCAD, type in opions, go to the Files tab, click on the + next to Support file search path. Look to see if one of the files listed is.....example........ C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Aplication Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2006\R16.2\enu\support. that is the file path of your hatch patterns. if it isn't there do this: click on Add, and then enter the entire file path for the location of the support folder containing your acad.pat file, and click OK............good luck.
