"Insufficient memory..." msg. when trying to edit Excel OLE in AutoCAD

Received the drawings from colleagues abroad.

I'm runnung 32 bit MS Office 2010 and 64 bit AutoCAD  Map 3D 2010.

System specs:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz
(RAM) 8.00 GB
System; 64-bit
Video: AND Radeon HD 6570

Please help me find a solution for opening the OLEs in edit mode, since it's a really great number of drawings and re-inserting the tables by the authors of the drawings is not an option.

P.S. Tried to attach a drawing cleared of all other entities but the Excel table, but in says: "The file type doesn't match the type of its contents" in red 🙂

It seems, that this is still ongoing problem, I'm using ACAD LT 2020 on a fairly powerful machine, but still 3x3 cell excel throws out  "Insufficient memory".

What worked for me was AUDIT command.

Hi,

>> It seems, that this is still ongoing problem,

Some questions:

  • Which operating system do you have?
  • How much memory do you have built in?
  • What does the task manager show about used memory in that state?
