Unfortunately Windows OLE does have limitations & you've run into one, &
there's nothing our applications can really do about it. In the
Knowledge Base at http://support.autodesk.com/enu/Homepage.asp, take a
look at the documents numbered TS32085 & TS21730 for further information
& a few suggestions for working around those limitations.

Besides Spanner, which works very well, you can also do the following:
Select and copy the portion of the spreadsheet that you want to import into
AutoCAD. Go to your AutoCAD drawing, and under the Edit menu use Paste
Special. In the dialog box that come up, select the Paste button and
%PRODUCT Entities. That should do it. Good luck

Since I'm the developer my opinion would be biased. :-)

Why not try the demo {http://www.dotsoft.com/demo.htm}?
