Problem with Viewport not showing textures or materials

Good night eveyone, 

Im am using maya 2015 by the way i start using maya like 2 months ago, and since then when i cannot see the textures or materials than im working on the viewport only when i open the render window, its really hard to get that to work, as well taking advantage of the discussions, can somebody help me as well since i already assign the texture to my blinn but it fit the dimension of the plane i want to like multiply the file several times so it looks more realistic any ideas?, thank you very much i will really appreciate the help
