Hi,
I have a (probably trivial) Problem with an Orient Constrain. I want to do a first person camera with motion data. I constrained the camera to a marker and used only Y rotation. Now, if I would do this in MotionBuilder there would be an option for weighting the rotation. I saw blends and weights in Maya help, but could not identify them or manipulation won't help.
What's the usual way to achieve the weighting ?
Best,
Daniel

Are you adjusting the "blend orient" in the channel box?
It seems to work for me.
Also, to avoid Gimabal, you may want to change the rotation order on a new locator to yxz then constrain it instead of the cam.
Then parent the camera to the locator.
I would do it with a locator (null) cause you don't want to mess with the cams rot order.
I forgot to mention.
In Maya, you must key the constrained element in order to get the Blend param in the channel box.
If you come from another anim package, this routine is quite unusual to you:)
hi, thanks for the hints and sorry for the late answer, I was kept busy.
I will try this on monday. Already found out about the rotation order. Luckily one can get only the Y axis rotation.
I will come back to you as soon as I tried this.
thanks,
Daniel
hey manny,
thanks (again).. 🙂 Although I feel this behaves somehow different than the weight in MotionBuilder it solves my problem.

Daniel
