3ds max 2015 Skin not work after aplieng on model

Hello.

 

I am Matej, i have student license of 3ds max 2015
i am not amatuer in this program but i have problem whose i dont know solve

i have a charcter and on character i used skin modifier i nothing change in the setting just weight fix for my work but when i rotate bone(s) nothing do character isnt deformable with skin modifier and i dont know why is it 

 

sure sure.. i look on google few topics whose i found (30topics) but nothing help me 😕

 

 

So how can i fix it ?

If you look at your Modifier-list in your picture, you see 3 dots on both Skin and Editable Mesh. This means you had some Vertecies selected before adding the Skin. That's a big no-no.

 

Delete the Skin and get your mesh out of Sub-Object mode, then add the Skin (and Bones) again.

 

I had no problem applying Skin to your model that way.

the issue was the same on 3DS Max 2019 and this was the solution for me 🙂 THANKS!

YES, if you left subselected anything you'll see 3 dots, or any icon (triangle, ..., box) of subselected vertexes, edges, border, polygon or element. If there are any subselection the SKIN modifier will affect on that subselected part.
