Why cant I export anything

I just got Alias as part of the new suites so I wanted to do a simple test.  I exported an iges from inventor and imported it into alias - no problem.  Now I want to export as iges.  I cant find the export settings as shown in the help and the dialog boxes for save as and export active both have the file types greyed out so I cant choose iges format.  What's gone wrong ?

next to the "save as" button there is an option box, there you can select all different types of formats.

You need to select the surfaces/objects you want to export, and then go to File > Export > Active As...

A little strange workflow I'll give you.

Can anyone help me with this, I have that option to export as IGS grey even with an object selected. 

Is this because its a 30 day trial????

Hello

as posted already next to the save as funktion is a little grey box, this is called option box, click on it and the export options are opening, there you can select all kind of different formats.
