Hello,
I'm looking for some legitimate reasons for going with Sketchbook over Artrage. What I want to use this software for is just ideation. I'm a mechanical engineer who does a lot of sketching of preliminary designs by hand first then I start in on my CAD software to finish the designs.
I've downloaded Sketchbook Pro and have found some great websites referring to it. But, recently, I found another program, Artrage that is very close in its tools (pencils, pens, etc) but with more of the artist in mind. One major thing that makes it extremely useful is that it has stencils (rulers, ellipses, french curves, etc.) that really give the "feel" of drawing by hand.
If anyone has used these two programs, please post your comments.
Thanks,
Steve
