Problems visualizing with SHADERS in Alias 2012...

Hello all,

I have a a machine with Windows 7 x 64 home premium,

HP HPE 400 F

AMD Phenom 2 x 4 945 Processor

 and an ATI Radeon HD5450

Whenever I open up Alias and dig up a file I want to work on and build a few surfaces on it, when I go to the shaders to visualize the surface, I get no shaders, and then the computer freezes up.

Can anybody possibly give me a hint as to what is wrong with my a) Machine

                                                                                                         b) Software

                                                                                                         c) Hardware compatibility

I already did a repair install, and a reinstall.  Nothing seems to help.

Please please please help.

Thank you in advance!

Giuseppe

hmm looks like your machine and grafix card is not qualified. This means, the machine was tested and did not run properly or it was not tested.

Qal. Hardware

Sorry i see not really a way to help.*shruggs*

You could disable Antialiasing of your grafics card and use only the Software-Anti-Aliasing of Alias. This solved a lot of problems i had with ATI cards in the past. Play a little with the other card parameters. Though i never had problems with the MultiLister...

Also the use of the view cube did cause some problems with not qualified cards. Test the old view panel.

Good Luck

Everyone with ATI radeons stuff will sooner or later have serious probs at 3D.

NVIDIA is the way to go and always has been.
