Opening a .prt file in Alias studiotools 2009...

Hey all,

Does anyone know if it is possible to open a .prt file in studiotools 2009? I am getting an error message that says "warning: there was an error while reading file."

If not, any ideas on how to convert this file to a readable one without Pro/E or Solidworks?

Any feedback is appreciated, Thanks!

Matt

Hi Matt,

You can save the file in granite format (.g) from Pro/E, which can be opened by alias.

You may also opt for STEP option for output from Pro/E, Solidworks and open it in alias.

Regards

Anand
