newbiw q - how to get constant prifile extrudes?

Hi all

I just started learning Alias, going through the online help step by step, I got a simple question:

i'm trying to make a nice tube along this crazy curve, and cant get the thing flow at the same thickness.

Ive use the Swept Surfaces - Rail, Extrude, Profile and the Tube_Surf tool.

a few snaps showing the case:

thanks for any help

itai

Hi,

This is alias, not rhino.

Imagine the shape u want to build, and then build it in small parts, not as 1 surface like you seem to have.

Example: You have a big extrusion path or rail. Make that rail be 10 or 20 segments, so you will have more control and less maths.

This is more like how alias likes to work.

Alias is very easy to learn, really. Simple interface and pretty smart...Just like any other software.

What is hard is to learn is surfacing. The theory.

Takes many years and a lot of practice.

Good luck man:)
