Hi, I've reached a point in learning Maya 7.0 where I'd like to add to what I've learned using GUI, so have just started MEL ( the David Gould and also Mark Wilkins books ) I would also like to start with an API - and here's where the question comes in. I've downloaded 'Python' and 'Free Pascal'. I tried first to download Microsoft's 'Visual C++' but didn't succeed. Whether that's because this machine is 32 bit or what, I don't know. What is your suggestion? Spend my time with 'Python', will I also have to learn 'Unicode'? 'Pascal' on the other hand seems more robust. What to do?
