How to rotate object ?

Hi.

I have a problem while modelling car. I model some part for example in this case driving wheel. When I was finished I wanted to put it on the proper place and rotate it little bit.

But all surfaces have its own centre of rotation (pivot point). It is not one object. I tried to group it to get one object. I'm using it often but now I just can’t group it. It doesn’t work. Why?

Why I cannot rotate the whole dr. wheel as a one object?

Thank you very much in advance.

Make sure you are using Pick > Object to select the different components of the wheel before grouping. If you're using Pick > Surface/Component, then you will not be able to group the selected components if one of the surfaces is part of another group.

Check for a message in the promtline histoy. A message may have quickly flashed saying "Can't group items with different parents."
