How can I put a car body from Alias in to Solidworks car body frame assemb.

I made a nice car body, but need to place it on a frame in solidworks. I am very confused about how to move file back and forth. I may need to modify the frame to just to fit it over some of the secure points. can someone advise about moving parts/assemblies back and forth between the two programs. what format. or if its even done like that! thanks R

Import the wire file into Inventor 2009 using the Alias Import
Add-In from http://labs.autodesk.com .
Then IGES/STEP the file out of Inventor. Solidworks should be able to open that.
Inventor will soon have full associativity with Alias Studio.

You can save your Alias file in STEP or IGES formats then import that into Solidworks.
