My hardware shading is locking up. As soon as I turn "shade on" it freezes up and I have to force quit. The multicolor shader in the diagnostic shader box works. I tried starting with a new file and dropped in a sphere with the default shader assigned and the same thing happens. I'm running AliasDesign on a new MacBook Pro. I was running 2010, but just downloaded 2011 and got the same problem.
Also, as side note, I've never had success getting the multicolor diagnostic shader to actually show the shader settings on the model. It always just shows everything in the default color and therefore seems like a useless tool. Anyone have a reason to use the mulitcolor diagnostic shader?
