Freeform Curve Blend Tool in Alias Design 2017 HF1

Hello,

I can´t find the new Freeform curve Blend tool in Alias Design 2017 HF1.

Is there a way to activate it, or is this tool only accessible for Alias Automotive version?

I just discovered that the Freerform Curve Blend tool is missing now, after the Hotfix.

Even the "What´s New Shelf" does not list it anymore.

Hello,

The Freeform Curve Blend Tool was not intended to be part of the Alias Design 2017 license. This functionality was intended for higher tier Alias products licenses. However, an error was made when assigning features to product tiers: Freeform Blend Surface was disabled from Alias Design while the new Freeform Blend Curve was enabled in the product. The hotfix reverses this error.

thanks for the Info. Would have been nice to have the tool, but better have the freeform Surface than freeform curve tool 🙂

I appreciate your understanding, as well as your patience as we worked through these issues. I'd like to confirm that you now are able to use the FreeForm Blend Surface tool with the hotfix?

That Freeform Curve Blend Tool seemed a nice addition into Alias Design 2017. Sad, to hear it wasn´t intended for this package.

Though, good that the Freeform Blend Tool is now working.

The Tool locator in Alias Design 2017 still points the path to the Freeform Curve Blend Tool .

The "Autodesk Alias 2017 Whats New PDF" has it well described as well.

No additional information is seen that this New addon tool is for specific packages.

Can you comment on that please?
