I"m having trouble transfering my wire files to other formats. Typically, I convert wire files to either stp. or igs. files and email them to my engineering department, where they in turn open them in UG. The surfaces look choppy and are not stitched together. The UG designers are unable to stitch 'b' side data to the class 'a' surface, as well. We've set our tolerances to the UG presets and stitch the models together, before converting them to stp. files. Is there something I'm not doing that will fix the problem? Thanks.
Can you provide any sample data for the testing/investigation of the problem?
Thanks
Geoff
You might check that your IGES export options have the "significant digits" set to the max of 15, I've found that this makes a difference when opeing in some applications.
