distributed render with Alias raytracer

did anyone try to set up an distrubuted render farm with a third party distributed render manager such as Dr.Queue?

I heard no one use alias software rendering ...

Everyone just use hardware shade ! But nice to see this.

hmm indeed its an old disease, a burden of the past. Though we switched render software i still use it sometimes. Having all raytracing features turned on i can reach good results. But this needs power.

Though i love the physical renderers, they are much slower on the same engine.

And Hardware Shade has some disabilities with transparent parts and shadows...

I fully agree on this.

one way is to import the wire in Maya and used any good rendering engine.. you will have the best of both world
