Alias 2017 Service Pack 1, install failed

Hi,

I cannot install the Alias 2017 Service Pack 1( Alias2017_SP1.msp (msp - 227Mb), release date 11 Jul 16 for Alias Design 2017 on windows. The warning says

"Der Upgradepatch kann vom Windows Installer-Dienst nicht installiert werden, weil das Programm, das aktuell installiert werden soll, möglicherweise fehlt, oder weil der Upgradepatch eine andere Version des Programms aktualisieren würde. Stellen sie sicher, dass das zu aktualisierende Programm auf dem Computer installiert ist, und dass Sie den richtigen Upgradepatch installieren."

The readme says its for

"Autodesk® Alias® AutoStudio 2017
Autodesk® Alias® Design 2017
Autodesk® Alias® Surface 2017
Service Pack"

The DMG Files are also for all versions.

Apologies for the trouble. 

Here is the Google translation of the error: 

'The upgrade patch can not be installed because the program to be currently installed, may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program from the Windows Installer service. Make sure that the program to be upgraded is installed on the computer, and that you have the correct upgrade patch.'

This is typically due to the product/update not being fully installed or updated to the version you need to install the update. I would recommend trying to repair your Alias 2017 installation and also making sure that your most recent Windows updates have occurred. Then try redownloading the service pack from here.

Which operating system are you using? A reinstall of Alias 2017 may be necessary.
