Hi,
The most likely reason for this is that your special part is actually a block inside the special part. Check your original DWG that you selected as the special part. That should contain NOTHING except 3DSolids. If that is a block containing 3D Solids then there is your answer.
To cure it...
- Explode the block and save the file.
- Then in your model use the normal AutoCAD Insert command to insert the block again.
- Ensure you BROWSE to the block on disk and do not select it form the drop down list.
- When you click insert you will be prompted to Redefine an existing block which you must do.
- Then either cancel the insert command or delete the new block just inserted. The definition within all the special parts will be updated.
Now you can update your GA and the parts should appear.
