How do I remove the beam count on the compass direction symbol for each beam from the lable template? It currently lists the number of beams and then the direction. I just want the direction to show up. How do I do this? See attached file.

Hello, bjur,
You can modify the content of the text used for Compass from Management Tools.
Ribbon --> Tools --> Tools panel --> Management Tools
Select Defaults page --> Check "Use Filter" and type "compass" in the field
Select the category Drawing-Presentation --> General
In the rigth side you have the definition for the text used for compass.
Modify it to "%Orientation".
See also attached picture for explanation.
Please be aware that you can use correctly this definition only if the main parts with the same number have the same orientation. For example: when you use unique number for each MP element.
If you have more more main parts with the same number, but different orientation, the compass label should be like:
- 2 x North, 1 x East
but this happens only with the definition "%Number*Orientation"
If you have the definition "%Orientation" you will get only one orientation, not all.
Best regards,
Emy
That worked great. However, if I have 5 identical columns for example, but they are facing different directions, how do I set up the numbering so that the columns get different numbers? What if 2 of the 5 are the same direction? I would like the columns that are the same and also faced the same direction to have the same number. Is this possible?
There is a setting in Management Tool:
"Column with different orientation get different MP numbers"
You can check this option to have the desired result.
Please see the attached picture with explanation.

Emy
