Thank you for the answer (finally) but that sounds about as short-sighted (not to mention unhelpful) as the technical organizations that are trying to publish only electronic versions of their standard resources. Engineers who need to use those reference materials for the Professional Engineering licensure exams cannot take electronic devices with capability to store those materials into the exams with them!
Similarly, when we are actually using this (expensive) software we ought to be able to have access to the necessary help information whenever we need it, not merely when the Internet accessible computer is available and the Internet service is working and...and...and... If it is merely not wanting to pay AutoDesk employees for the extra effort to put it into a different format (e.g., pdf), could the entire help tree be made available as a downloadable web page at least?
