Activity context

Messages in the activity feed to not link back to their original context, such as a model or other file. Also, the activity shows which project, but not the sub-folder.

Hi Jason,

Can you share more details on this. I just clicked on a few items in my activity feed and it opens them up in the viewer even in nested folders. Can you give an example and maybe a screen shot on what you are seeing.

Thanks for posting to the A360 forums.

Comments within the viewer are listed in the activity feed as expected.  However, opening Messages via the Recent pane on my Dashboad doesn't provide a link to the message's context.

I felt silly when my "take a look at this" post didn't show anything.

Hi Jason,

Thanks for the screen shots that makes it a lot easier to see what you are saying. It looks like you posted a comment in a project by going to Message feature. It does not have anything to link back to.

It sounds like you would like to see a message link back to a project or specific file in the future. If that is the case be sure to post an idea to our IdeaStation. Then we can open it up to comments and kudos from others.

Thanks again for the clarification and please do create an idea for this.

Hi Jason,

You are right in expecting that the reference to the parent file show up in the context of the message you posted. This is a known bug and we are working on refining the commenting expereince to address issues like the one you've brought up and hope to address them soon.

Ideally, the context should be visible on then interface and take you to back to the design/model like you've described in your annotations.
