External script debugger (Jscript) doesn't work?

Hi,

I am writing scripts for softimage in JS and trying to get the script editor external debugger to work, I have followed the documentation "Using the Microsoft Script Debugger"  but the debugger doesn't seem to launch on breakpoints or errors.

I am running Softimage 2013 x64 on windows 7.

I have checked the value in the registry which enables the debugger and it indeed is set to 1.

From what I have searched it seems that the windows script debugger might be deprecated and not work on windows 7 (x64).

Does anyone here develop in Jscript for SI and knows how to get the debugging to work?

Or if there are any other IDE debuggers that can work with SI's (Jscript) script editor?
